Esker - a mining town North of Haven

Wild Water farm – Wanda and Windle Waterflower own this farm and maintain the bridge. They charge a small fee for crossing the bridge.

Borsk hunting lodge – Borsk is a loner who has a lodge across a rickety rope bridge. Occasionally enters Esker to trade. Some say he is an ogre or a troll… or some half breed giant. He doesn’t take kindly to visitors.

Esker – Small mining village with a 5-man guard tower, an inn, a few shops, a blacksmith and lots of miners. Mostly Humans and Dwarves.

Esker Mine – Deep iron mines, managed by the Dwarf chief miner, Nile Rockbane.

Eyrie Peak – Highest Mountain in this area of the Kharolis Mountains.

Esker woods – dark pine woodlands on the side of the Kharolis mountains.

Haven woods – Mixed conifer and deciduous woodland. Known to be inhabited by Goblin bands.

Two religious factions vie for control of the city - Belzarites and Seekers of the New Gods

Places in Haven

1. Blackrock bakery. Run by Dominic from Esker. Specialises in Vittles and savouries.

2. Council Hall. Chief councillor Shaile Rorn. 4 Guards. Council of elders meet here.

3. Daft Gnome Ale house. Proprietor Galon the dwarf. Patrons are all dwarves.

4. Grand market. Market here every morning. Always two city watch here.

5. Grinning goat tavern. Proprietor is Rand `Goaty` Gullman. Boatmen and travellers tavern. Patrons are transporters (caravaners, boatmen etc). Sign used to say grinning boat but the B was damaged and has never been changed. Sign is a boat over painted with a goat. Also local smugglers hideout.

6. Haven jail. Fowler Greyeys is in charge of the jail. The jailer is a human named Narl the key. Always has a guard with him at the jail.

7. Haven river docks. Dock master Adams runs the docks. No one works here without paying a fee. Adams pays protection to the mockers and allows the smugglers to ply their trade. Adams always has two bodyguards.

8. High Hand Inn. Proprietor is Kernen the good. This is the favoured inn of the Watch.

9. Karn the blacksmith. Karn is a minotaur blacksmith, knows Theros and Katana well. Grumpy and not very talkative.

10. Steel Tankard Inn. Rough pub! Run by Honest Jobe a half elf who works for the mockers. This is the regular mockers meet up point.

11. Mageware shop. Run by Jules the red, friend of Antimodes and knows of Raistlin.

12. Old Keep. Here Fowler Greyeyes runs the city watch and reports to the Council of Elders. 100 men at arms, 20 crossbowmen. Also holds the city mint.

13. Livestock exchange. Also location of stables. Run by Elf, Katoran. Friend of Kalanthus and knows / would always aid the characters are from their previous adventure.

14. Rose Hall. House of Baron Saladar, Knight of Solomania.

15. Sharl weaving. Proprietor Sharl. Makers of clothes and leather armour.

16. Swans Musicians. Once a musical shop, now boarded up, no one knows where Swansong, a Que She tribeswoman has gone.

17. The Blind Chandler. Proprietor is Talia Redgrass, plainswoman. A well to do inn frequented by the wealthy and aristocracy.

18. The fine cobblers shop. Proprietor Fine Finny a Hill Dwarf.

19. The Ivy Inn. Proprietor Garnet Dahl, Esgothian. Owes his life to Nathan firestaff and will always help a friend of Nathans. Is on good terms with Fowler Greyeyes. Has contacts in the mockers.

20. Tradeguild. All traders must report here and declare before trading. Guildmasters for all trades meet here.


21. Bigby’s Toys and Sweets. Bigby Goodfellow – Male Solamnic


22. Sylvaria's Alchemic Shop - Half underground - fish tank windows. Illusions of instruments play. Sylvaria seems like a 22 year old human but is actually a Tiefling


23. Weedle’s Pawn Shop. An impressively sizable and popular Pawn Shop. Campenor Redshield – Dark Dwarf and Proprietor. Two Barbarian Brothers guard the shop


24. Temple of Belzar. High Priestess Judith runs this temple of the snake god. It has become the church of Haven however Seekers priests denounce Belzar (and Belzarites denounce Seekers).

Belzarites wear green robes.

A tall man with black hair and black and green robes named Father Kite will speak to the characters and will denounce the Seekers at every turn.

31. Chomskys Tricky Trinkets and Crafty Contraptions. Chomsky is a Gnome but is rarely seen. Giles – Attendant, Lives on premises and is paid 100 steel per week which makes him the best paid shop keep in Haven


32. Helga’s General Store. All Around items and Equipment Store. Helga Thorngood – Elderly Female Proprietor. Duncan – Male Guide. Runt, Gump, Lulu, and Zeek – Gully Dwarf Laundry


33. Tom’s Tinker Store. Rather large establishment rivals Old Algerro’s shop in size and production. Able to create large, complicated contraptions and siege engines. Wide variety of curios and trinkets. Tom Gnome stonemason. Gnimstikitkitimbonosarimbocharrybarryruchipipparrypimbo…


34. Temple of the Seekers. 4 temple guards guard the door against any Belzar activists. Visitors are allowed in and can speak with a member of the priests of the Seeker Gods. Roderick the Converter is the leader of the Seekers military arm. Seekers of the new gods preaching on street corners denouncing Belzar and promoting their own gods
